Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington seeks a dedicated coordinator to provide academic instruction, advising, and career guidance to students in targeted schools. You will identify participants, deliver workshops on college and financial aid, and provide dropout prevention and case management services.

Responsibilities include data entry, collaboration with the project team, and supporting teachers and administrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Communications, or related field and three years of experience in dropout prevention or postsecondary opportunity programs.
• Upon hire, candidate must complete Child Protection Training.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, select and deliver services to eligible participants at target secondary schools.
• Conduct grade-appropriate workshops on college, career and financial aid information and test prep.
• Provide outreach and case management including dropout prevention and information services.
• Deliver direct services such as career exploration and study skills improvement.
• Maintain student records and required forms; assist with documentation to agencies and grant proposals.
• Supervise students during summer activities and chaperone educational enrichment trips.
