Position Summary

Purpose, Scope & Dimension of Job:

The College and Community Advancement Coordinator, under the direction of the President of the Foundation for MCC /Executive Director of College and Community Advancement, provides coordination and support for all aspects of FMCC fundraising, special events, and donor/alumni tracking and engagement. This includes donor research, outreach & solicitation, management of various external and internal fundraising campaigns, managing and manipulating donor information and databases, providing staff support to various FMCC committees, utilizing the College’s website and social media as communication tools, and writing, editing, and disseminating an assortment of documents for the FMCC.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Oversee work study students, interns, temporary clerical workers, and volunteers.

  • Two (2) years or more of work experience in the field of fund development.
  • Two (2) years or more of experience using fund development software and databases, preferably Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge, which can be concurrent with #2.
  • Requires advanced analytical judgment.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet use.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize social media for donor, employee, student, alumni, and community outreach.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Blackbaud fund development software or other complex data management/fundraising software
  • Previous fund-raising experience in an organized resource development setting.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods. Requires the ability to move about inside the office, building, and occasionally traverse across campus
  • Must be able to move items weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculator, copy machine, fax machine, printer, ImageNow, point of sale machine

Work Schedule

Normally, Monday through Friday 8A to 5P; includes some working lunches and dinners; includes late night special fundraising events, approximately two – three times a month.

First consideration given to internal candidates.

Degree must be conferred by application deadline.

Visa sponsorship is not available.

The College is unable to assist with travel and/or relocation expenses.

Selected candidates must submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
