Job summary

Partnership for the Future (PFF) is seeking a School-Based College Access Manager to pilot a school-based model that partners with schools to help students build a college-going culture and navigate the admissions process.

The role focuses on supporting first-generation and economically disadvantaged students across the Richmond region, providing individualized guidance and collaboration with counselors and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; three or more years working with high school or college students preferred.
• Experience supporting first-generation and economically disadvantaged students is strongly desired.
• Strong communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish a consistent presence within the school community as a resource for college access.
• Partner with counselors, administrators, and staff to support admissions.
• Plan enrichment activities and accompany students on college tours.
• Stay ahead of admissions trends to give students a competitive edge.
• Build relationships with students, families, and community partners.
• Support college access initiatives, including college fairs, FAFSA efforts, and family engagement.

Partnership for the Future (PFF) is seeking a School-Based College Access Manager to help pilot a new school-based model that partners with schools to build a college-going culture, ensuring students have the knowledge, resources, and individualized support needed to successfully navigate the college admissions process. This role will play a hands-on part in shaping the futures of first-generation and high-achieving students across the Richmond region.

Partnership for the Future is a college access and success program serving more than 500 students each year, with a mission to prepare high-achieving high school students for success in college and beyond. PFF primarily serves first-generation, low-income students, and its comprehensive year-round program ensures students have the tools and confidence to graduate from college with a launching pad into successful careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish a consistent and visible presence within the school community, serving as a resource and advocate for college access and success
• Partner with school counselors, administrators, teachers, and school-based staff to support students through the college admissions process
• Plan enrichment activities and accompany students on college tours
• Stay ahead of admissions trends to give students the best competitive edge
• Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and community partners
• Support schoolwide college access initiatives, including college fairs, application events, FAFSA completion efforts, Decision Day activities, and family engagement opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; three or more years working with high school or college students preferred.
• College Access experience a plus.
• Experience supporting first-generation and economically disadvantaged students is strongly desired.
• Strong communication andorganization.
• Experience coaching or mentoring students.
• A team player who can also manage projects independently.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

$50,000 – $60,000 / year
