Job summary

Blaze Credit Union in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Collector to manage all collection activities and minimize delinquency. This in-office role requires five days a week at the Saint Paul office, with a Saturday rotation. You will handle inquiries, negotiate payment plans, and coordinate with attorneys or agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of collections best practices, procedures, and regulations.
• Verbal and written communication skills and well organized.
• Basic arithmetic and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all collection activities for the credit union.
• Respond to member and staff questions regarding collection accounts.
• Work to collect delinquent loans and accounts.
• Obtain payment agreements for past due loans and follow up.
• Prepare delinquent accounts for repossession, legal action, or placement with agencies.
• Assist in preparing delinquency reports and ensuring accuracy of information.
