Job summary

Vantage West in Tucson, AZ is seeking a collections specialist to manage delinquent member accounts through outbound and inbound calls, negotiating payment plans and protecting the credit union from loss. Salary range is $19.21 - $25.22/hr. Job Grade, NE 9. Final salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.

This role is eligible for a language stipend of $200/monthly after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of collections call center experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Place outbound and answer inbound calls from delinquent members.
• Negotiate payment arrangements to bring accounts current.
• Provide excellent service to Members at all times.
• Document all member contacts in the collection system.
• Meet productivity and performance goals set by management.
• Locate members via skip tracing and research.
• Review options for repossession or referrals as needed.
• Act as liaison with attorneys, agencies and vendors.
• Resolve disputes to protect the credit union.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
