TEL Staffing is seeking a Collections Specialist for our Pensacola, FL office. The role focuses on managing accounts receivable, contacting customers with overdue balances, and securing payments while preserving customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and active listening skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to track multiple accounts.
• Ability to shift focus between numerous tasks.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in Finance or Business preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aging reports to identify past-due accounts and prioritize outreach.
• Contact customers daily via phone, email, and letters to request payment.
• Negotiate settlements and establish realistic repayment schedules.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams.
• Document all collection activities and payment agreements in the billing system.
• Prepare and maintain collection status reports.
