Job summary

LaSalle Network is seeking a Collections Specialist in Glenwood, Illinois to support a high-volume accounts receivable team. This contract role includes training up front, followed by independent work as ramp-up completes.

The position emphasizes timely payments and strong customer communication. You will handle B2B and/or B2C collections, manage a portfolio with outbound calls and emails, and collaborate across internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
• Strong written email communication and customer-relations skills.
• Experience in B2B and/or B2C collections, B2B preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment after training.
• Experience with high-volume outbound calls and emails.

Job description

Our client is hiring for a Collections Specialist to join their accounts receivable team in Glenwood, Illinois. This Collections Specialist opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys a high-volume collections environment, strong customer communication, and keeping receivables moving efficiently. In this contract role, the Collections Specialist will support coverage for a temporary medical leave and may have the opportunity to convert to full-time, depending on business needs. The team offers hands-on training up front, with the expectation of working independently once ramped.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices to support timely customer payments
• Communicate with customers via email to resolve billing questions, payment status updates and collection-related issues
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to reconcile accounts and document collection activity in the system
• Prioritize a high volume of collections outreach and escape accounts as appropriate to drive resolution
• Support coverage for a temporary medical leave and assist during a potential ERP implementation overlap, as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable or a related function
• Strong written email communication skills and proven customer relationship skills
• Experience in B2B and/or B2C collections (B2B preferred, per the team)
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment after initial hands-on training
• Heavy outbound collections experience working with a portfolio of 500, and making 250–300 calls on a weekly basis, coinciding with email outreach at a similar volume
