Job summary

A leading financial institution in Spokane is seeking a Collections Counselor II. You will be responsible for managing collection activities on consumer and small business accounts. This includes monitoring accounts for delinquency and making recommendations for major collection actions. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience in collections and a High School Diploma/G.E.D. This role offers a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience in collections.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all collection activity on assigned accounts.
• Complete recommendation forms for all assigned accounts and monitor Risk Ratings.
• Make recommendations for repossession, foreclosure, suit, and major collection activities.
• Handle bankrupt accounts including correspondence and reporting to Bankruptcy Court.
• Manage communications with borrowers regarding collection activities.
• Monitor charged-off loans and provide monthly reporting.
• Prepare and distribute reports related to collections.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with policies and regulations.

Skills

Knowledge of consumer and small business loans

Office skills including Microsoft Office proficiency

Good verbal and written communication skills

Sales ability to resolve delinquent accounts

Excellent organizational skills

Knowledge of federal and state laws

Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.
