Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Collections Operations across residential, commercial, and specialty services. You’ll develop Supervisors, strengthen safety culture, and ensure exceptional customer service while partnering with multiple departments to ensure safe and efficient route completion.

You’ll own staffing strategies, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement while fostering leadership development and accountability

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, waste management, or related operations.
• Experience leading leaders and building high-performing teams.
• Strong communication, coaching, and business acumen.
• Commitment to safety and delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to optimize routes and service.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop Operations Supervisors to build a pipeline of future leaders.
• Own the performance of assigned collection operations including safety, staffing, and customer service.
• Coach through regular field observations, feedback, and succession planning.
• Own staffing strategy: recruit, hire, onboard, develop, and retain exceptional employees.
• Champion safety culture with daily huddles, ride-alongs, and safety initiatives.
• Monitor labor, overtime, productivity, route efficiency, and operating costs to drive improvements.
• Partner with Dispatch, Customer Experience, Fleet Maintenance, Safety, and leadership to remove barriers.
• Conduct regular operational reviews and field visits to ensure standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support customer retention by resolving escalated concerns and meeting service commitments.
