Job summary

8am is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to own the end-to-end collections and accounts receivable lifecycle. You will lead a team of analysts, drive aging down and recovery up, and align with Finance, Risk, Sales, and Engineering. You will also bring AI tools to automate workflows and improve efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in collections and a strong grasp of SOC 1/SOX, with advanced Excel skills and experience with Salesforce/Workday. Salary reflects US markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in collections or AR roles with high-volume receivables.
• Experience leading a team of analysts or specialists.
• Strong knowledge of SOC 1, SOX and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and data analytics.
• Experience with CRM/ERP systems like Salesforce and Workday.
• Experience applying AI tools to automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end collections and AR process from daily recovery to strategy.
• Lead and mentor collections analysts, set goals and track KPIs.
• Run core operations: TSYS holds, ACH returns, write-offs, journal entries.
• Analyze delinquency trends to improve forecasting and cash flow.
• Escalation point for tough recoveries; collaborate on risk reviews.
• Document processes and safeguard against errors and losses.
• Bring AI tools into collections to automate workflows.
• Partner with Finance, Risk, Sales, Operations and Engineering.
