ExamWorks is looking for a Collections Clerk (internally called a Billing and Collections Clerk) to join our team onsite!We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused professional with experience managing accounts receivable, billing inquiries, collections, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate has worked directly with attorneys, law firms, legal departments, or professional services organizations and is comfortable navigating complex billing matters with high-value clients.Key Responsibilities:Manage accounts receivable portfolio and oversee collection activities to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.Investigate, resolve, and document billing disputes while maintaining positive client relationships.Work directly with attorneys, law firms, legal staff, and clients to address billing inquiries and payment concerns.Review invoices for accuracy and coordinate corrections when necessary.Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on delinquent accounts.Partner with internal stakeholders to reduce aging receivables and improve collection outcomes.Maintain accurate records of collection efforts, dispute resolutions, and account status updates.Escalate complex collection and billing issues when appropriate.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or revenue cycle management.Experience working with law firms, attorneys, legal departments, or other professional services organizations.Proven ability to resolve billing disputes and negotiate payment solutions.Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and collection best practices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with attorneys, partners, executives, and clients.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in a law firm, legal services environment, or professional services organization.Experience collecting on aged receivables and managing complex billing arrangements.Familiarity with legal billing systems, e-billing platforms, or professional services invoicing.ExamWorks is a leading provider of innovative healthcare services including independent medical examinations, peer reviews, bill reviews, Medicare compliance, case management, record retrieval, document management and related services.
