Job summary

Connection is seeking a Collection Analyst to join our Collections team in Merrimack, NH. You will help maintain and support a portfolio of customer accounts while working toward timely resolution of routine collection questions, payment issues, and order holds under supervision.

This role requires basic computer skills, good math, and strong attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clear written and verbal communication will help you succeed in a collaborative finance

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and internal teams to resolve payment questions and order holds.
• Support a portfolio of approximately 800–1,000 customer accounts.
• Review and process held orders to ensure timely release.
• Request documentation from Account Managers when needed.
• Review shipping addresses for fraud prevention and assist with weekly/monthly reports.
• Participate in special projects and support team coverage as needed.

As a Collection Analyst, you will help maintain and support a portfolio of customer accounts while working toward timely resolution of routine collection questions, payment issues, and order holds. You will work under the guidance of the Supervisor of Collections and will have clear procedures, support, and opportunities to grow your knowledge over time.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and internal teams to help resolve payment application, pricing, tax, freight, return, and delinquency questions.
• Support a portfolio of approximately 800–1,000 customer accounts.
• Review and process held orders to help ensure timely order release.
• Request documentation from Account Managers, such as hard copy purchase orders, when needed.
• Review first-time shipping addresses and specific products to support fraud prevention efforts.
• Complete one assigned weekly or monthly department report.
• Participate in special projects and support team coverage as needed.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including the ability to create a simple document or spreadsheet.
• Good math skills and an interest in learning basic accounting functions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to proofread for accuracy.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
