U.S. Bank is seeking a Collateral Management Operations Associate to support daily margin and collateral processes for the broker-dealer. You will handle margin calls, monitor positions, and investigate exceptions in a fast-paced environment.

You will reconcile data across systems, support UAT and automation efforts, and help build a new collateral management capability as the business grows. This role emphasizes accuracy, controls, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in related field.
• Experience in securities operations, collateral/margin operations, settlements, middle office, or related function.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability, with data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Process daily margin calls and collateral movements in line with agreements and controls.
• Monitor collateral positions, eligibility, substitutions, settlements, and exceptions.
• Perform daily reconciliations and investigate differences across systems and counterparties.
• Research margin disputes and document findings; escalate gaps promptly.
• Monitor settlement status and coordinate with Settlements, custodians, and banks to resolve fails.
• Validate inputs in collateral processes and escalate data-quality issues.
• Maintain audit trails, checklists, and procedure adherence.
• Support management reporting on call volumes, disputes, aging, fails, and controls.
• Participate in UAT, process design, automation, and platform readiness.
• Cross-train and provide coverage during peak volumes and launches.
• Identify recurring issues and propose practical process or control improvements.
