Job summary

Nomura is seeking an Associate in Finance to manage collateral processes in a high‑stakes environment in New York. You will handle dispute resolution, reconciliations, and regulatory projects while collaborating with Global Markets, Middle Office, and Risk teams to address client queries and ensure accurate settlements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of collateral management experience.
• Strong understanding of OTC derivatives and repo markets.
• Working knowledge of margin regulations.
• Knowledge ofETFs within equities is a plus.
• Understanding of legal, credit and operational risks with collateral.
• Risk & control experience is a plus.
• SIE & Series 99 license is required.

Responsibilities

• Dispute resolution and reconciliations.
• Partner with Global Markets, Middle Office and Risk teams to address client queries.
• Interface with Front Office and Counterparty/Market Risk teams.
• Coordinate with settlement groups to ensure proper cash and security movements.
• Engage in projects focusing on regulatory requirements and internal optimization.
• Provide daily/weekly reporting on trade dispute metrics.
• Participate in projects related to regulatory requirements facing the industry.
• Interface with Front/Middle teams and Risk Group regarding regulatory and house margin requirements.
• Maintain Supervisory Procedures.
