Job summary

Prosperity Bank is seeking a Collateral Documentation Specialist to ensure accurate recording and safekeeping of loan collateral, process liens, and release documents upon payoff in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

You will organize and track consumer and commercial collateral files, review documents for accuracy, maintain spreadsheets, and communicate with loan officers to secure timely lien positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; three plus years mortgage, consumer and business loan servicing and/or collateral handling preferred.
• Spreadsheet software and word processing software knowledge.
• General filing systems.
• Knowledge of applicable bank mainframe systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize, file, maintain and track all Consumer and Commercial collateral documentation.
• Timely processes collateral documentation to ensure priority lien position.
• Review documents for accuracy prior to recording of lien.
• Safekeeping of original loan and collateral documents in fireproof file cabinets.
• Process Letters of Guarantee and Dealer Draft requests.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and reconcile notes receivables monthly.
• Set up tracking for each property by item key number on large commercial loans.
• Process UCC continuations, terminations and lien releases; mail PIF letters and titles.
