Job summary

Concord Community Schools is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide school-based therapy, assess students, and support access to education through individualized plans and classroom collaboration.

You will work with teachers, families, and other professionals to implement interventions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with IDEA and Section 504. A strong emphasis on evidence-based practices and effective communication is required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Indiana license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • NBCOT certification preferred.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in school or pediatric settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Article 7, and Section 504 law in school-based OT.
  • Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school buildings with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify fine/gross motor, sensory, self-care, and functional needs.
  • Develop and implement IEP goals, service plans, and accommodations.
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services in classrooms, therapy rooms, and community settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy into education plans.
  • Design and adapt instructional materials and environments to support participation.
  • Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals and report to teams.
  • Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary meetings, and eligibility reviews.
  • Train staff in accommodations, assistive technology, and sensory strategies.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state/federal guidelines.
