Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Collaborative Physician to oversee advanced practice providers delivering care to client employees and dependents aged 2 and older at our Health Center in Overland Park, KS.

Roles require availability as needed and collaboration with NP/PA to ensure high-quality care. The position involves maintaining compliance with state regulations, renewing collaborative agreements, and providing guidance on clinical performance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted license in Kansas and Missouri.
• Board certification in an appropriate Primary Care specialty.
• Prior collaborative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.
• Knowledge of symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
• Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NP/PA and oversee patient care per state regulations.
• Consult NP/PA by phone/pager or in person during patient care.
• Establish and renew collaborative agreement per state law and Premise procedures.
• Provide feedback to NP/PA on performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Adhere to laws and regulations governing medical collaboration with NP/PA.
• Site visits may be required to meet with PA/NP as per state rules.
• May oversee lab functions including CLIA waived testing where applicable.
• Oversee RN activities and co-sign RN standing orders.

As a Collaborative Physician, you'll provide oversight of advanced practice providers providing care to client employees and their dependents ages 2 and older in our Health Center located in Overland Park, KS. The scheduled hours are as needed.

What You'll Do

• Collaborative physicians will conduct quality reviews of patient charts on a periodic basis based on state regulations and/or Premise Procedure.
• Be available to NP/PA as necessary via phone/pager or in person during time the NP/PA is seeing patients or involved in clinical activities to consult on patient care.
• Execute collaborative agreement with NP / PA and periodically renew as required by State law and/or Premise Procedure.
• Provide feedback as needed to NP / PA on performance, including areas with opportunity for improvement.
• Perform any other duties or services required by laws, rules or regulations relating to collaboration with the NP / PA as designated by your state.
• CPs may be required to conduct a site visit to meet with their respective PA/NP as required by state regulations and law.
• May oversee all lab functions including CLIA waived lab and testing if applicable.
• May oversee onsite RN, co-signing RN Standing Orders
