Premise Health is hiring a Collaborative Physician to oversee Advanced Practice Providers in our Occupational Health Centers in Marietta, GA. Hours are as needed to support quality patient care.

You will review charts, consult with NP/PA, and ensure compliance with state laws and Premise procedures. The role requires MD/DO with an unrestricted license and board certification in primary care.

Qualifications

• > MD or DO licensed in the state where assessments occur.
• < Board certification in a Primary Care specialty.
• < Prior collaborative experience preferred, especially overseeing Occupational Medicine.
• < Knowledge of diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases.
• < Knowledge of symptoms, treatment options, drug interactions, and preventive care.
• < Ability to evaluate costs/benefits to choose appropriate actions.
• < Ability to communicate effectively in writing for the audience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative physicians conduct quality reviews of patient charts according to state rules and Premise procedures.
• Be available to NP/PA by phone/pager or in person during patient care to consult on care.
• Execute collaborative agreement with NP/PA and renew as required by law/Procedures.
• Provide feedback to NP/PA on performance and improvement opportunities.
• Perform duties required by laws, rules, or regulations for collaboration with NP/PA as designated by state.
• May conduct site visits to meet with PA/NP as required by state regulations.
• May oversee lab functions including CLIA waived testing if applicable.
• May oversee onsite RN and co-sign RN Standing Orders.

As a Collaborative Physician, you'll provide oversight of Advanced Practice Providers in our Occupational Health Centers located in Marietta, GA. The scheduled hours are as needed.

What You'll Do

• Collaborative physicians will conduct quality reviews of patient charts on a periodic basis based on state regulations and/or Premise Procedure.
• Be available to NP/PA as necessary via phone/pager or in person during time the NP/PA is seeing patients or involved in clinical activities to consult on patient care.
• Execute collaborative agreement with NP / PA and periodically renew as required by State law and/or Premise Procedure.
• Provide feedback as needed to NP / PA on performance, including areas with opportunity for improvement.
• Perform any other duties or services required by laws, rules or regulations relating to collaboration with the NP / PA as designated by your state.
• CPs may be required to conduct a site visit to meet with their respective PA/NP as required by state regulations and law.
• May oversee all lab functions including CLIA waived lab and testing if applicable.
• May oversee onsite RN, co-signing RN Standing Orders

What You'll Bring

• Board certification in an appropriate Primary Care specialty.

• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.
• Knowledge of symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
• Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
