Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. You will load, unload, stack, and prepare orders while following equipment safety guidelines and production standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and up to 3 months of related experience, with the ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders, and check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation.
• Operate equipment in OSHA-compliant safety practices.
• Must be able to meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, and forklift battery changes as needed.
