Job summary

EVERSANA is seeking a Conversational AI Engineer to design, build, and support intelligent virtual agents using NICE Cognigy, focusing on digital chat and self-service experiences. You will collaborate with business, IT, and design teams to deliver scalable chatbot solutions across channels.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience with Cognigy or similar platforms, strong NLU and integration skills, and familiarity with enterprise IT environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience developing or supporting conversational AI, chatbots, or virtual assistant solutions.
• Hands-on experience building chatbots using NICE Cognigy or comparable platforms.
• Strong understanding of conversational design, NLU concepts, intent modeling, and dialog management.
• Experience integrating chatbots with enterprise systems using APIs and web services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain NICE virtual agents with a focus on digital chat and self-service use cases.
• Develop and manage conversation flows, intents, entities, dialog logic, and handoff scenarios to live agents.
• Configure and tune NLU models to improve recognition, accuracy, and CX.
• Implement and maintain integrations between Cognigy and backend systems (CRM, knowledge bases, APIs).
• Support human handoff and omnichannel continuity, preserving context for escalations.
• Monitor bot performance using analytics and transcripts to improve containment and task completion.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to bot behavior, NLU, integrations, and performance.
