Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment safely and efficiently to hit production/waste goals.
• Completes required documents and checklists related to equipment operation, reports malfunctions.
• Interprets work orders to ensure correct materials and specifications are followed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic-to-moderate operation difficulties.
• Ensures coffee has adequate time to gas-off.
• Performs change-overs and coordinates delivery of supplies to the packaging line.
• Programs packaging machine using touch screen and manufacturing specs.
• Adjusts packaging equipment for appropriate case size and coffee per package.
• Manages packaging process: close boxes, label, and send through tape machine.
• Performs visual, weight, and seal inspections on each package.
• Identifies nonconforming goods and handles disposition.
• Moves boxes to pallets and records pallet information.
• Records downtime and submits maintenance requests.
• Cleans machine and work area to prevent dust.
• Collects samples for quality assurance.
