Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
• Good leadership and training skills.
• Ability and willingness to promote and support a positive culture and follow Westrock Coffee values.
• Ability to collaborate with all parts of the operation to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment safely and efficiently to hit production/waste goals.
• Completes all required documents and checklists related to equipment operation and reports malfunctions to supervisor and maintenance.
• Interprets work orders and instructions to ensure proper materials and specifications are followed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic-to-moderate operation difficulties.
• Ensures coffee has adequate time to gas-off.
• Completes change-over sheets and coordinates delivery of film, filters, and boxes to packaging line.
• Uses computer to open appropriate coffee bin and enter item information for labels.
• Programs packaging machine for run based on manufacturing specs.
• Adjusts packaging equipment for appropriate case size and coffee per package.
• Manages packaging by closing boxes, labeling, and feeding through tape machine.
• Performs visual, weight and seal inspections of packages.
• Identifies and segregates nonconforming goods.
• Moves boxes to pallets and completes pallet tickets.
• Records downtime and submits maintenance requests when needed.
• Cleans machines and work area to prevent dust.
• Checks packaging machines and completes changeover sheets for correct bags.
• Collects samples for quality assurance.
