Job summary

WestRock Coffee is seeking a Machine Operator to oversee the packaging line, ensuring safe operation, quality control, and efficiency across shifts. This role supports a plant manager and packaging crew with accuracy and timeliness.

You will interpret work orders, set up the machine, manage changeovers, inspect outputs, document downtime, and maintain a clean, organized area while following PPE and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely to meet production and waste goals.
• Document checklists and report malfunctions.
• Interpret work orders to ensure correct materials.
• Troubleshoot basic-to-moderate operation issues.
• Gas-off time management for coffee.
• Complete change-overs and arrange packaging supplies.
• Program packaging machine using manufacturing specs.
• Label, box, and palletize finished goods.
• Inspect each package visually, by weight, and seal.
• Record downtime and submit maintenance requests.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety PPE protocols.
• Collect samples for QA.
• Other duties as assigned.
