Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. in Indianapolis is seeking a Field Service Technician for coffee equipment to service local businesses.

You will travel within the Central Indianapolis area, perform scheduled maintenance, installations, and emergency service while providing outstanding customer care. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and strong customer service. The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds and a valid driver’s license, with on-call shifts in a rotational

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Reside within 30-40 miles of the Indianapolis area.
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to provide a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including lifting up to 75 pounds and driving on a frequent basis.
Ability to work on-call hours at least once a month (on-call duties are covered by a rotational program).
Entry level plumbing and electrical experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the equipment service business for corporations in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
Obtain expert knowledge from our training teams to learn the ins and outs of coffee machinery and equipment.
Provide best-in-class customer service to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
Perform scheduled service on equipment including proactive maintenance, installations, machine removals, asset management, and emergency service requests.
Manage equipment inventories including quarterly warehouse inventory checks and ordering parts as needed.
Document proper procedures including electronic invoices, customer names and contact information, reported quality issues and other related activities.
Drive and maintain a state-of-the-art company vehicle, fully equipped with heated seats, large navigation screen, shelving and so much more to ensure you are comfortable and successful in your career!
