Job summary

Westrock Coffee is seeking a Machine Operator I -- Batching (MO1) to safely operate batching equipment and prepare coffee blends according to production specs. You will monitor batch parameters, record batch numbers, and coordinate with the Processing Supervisor to support quality and throughput goals.

This role requires at least a high school diploma and 2 years in manufacturing, strong communication and teamwork, basic math, and trouble shooting skills.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication (oral and written).
• Excellent teamwork and ability to train others.
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude for batching operations.
• Ability to follow detailed specifications and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate batching equipment to prepare coffee blends per specifications.
• Select batching bins and start batching via computer interface.
• Monitor and adjust batching parameters for consistency and quality.
• Perform pre-batch checks including weight and blend verification.
• Coordinate with quality assurance to collect batch samples.
• Maintain accurate batch records (numbers, lot codes, production times).
• Coordinate with line support for materials and packaging delivery.
