Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company seeks a Machine Operator I – Batching (MO1) to safely and accurately operate batching equipment in coffee processing. You will prepare and batch coffee according to specs, coordinate with QA, and maintain records to support quality and throughput goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus at least 2 years in a manufacturing setting, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operates batching equipment to prepare coffee blends according to manufacturing specifications.
• Selects appropriate batching bins and initiates batching via computer interface.
• Monitors and adjusts batching parameters to ensure consistency and quality.
• Performs pre-batch checks including weight and blend verification.
• Coordinates with quality assurance to collect and submit batch samples.
• Maintains accurate records of batch numbers, lot codes, and production times.
• Coordinates with line support for materials.
• Supports packaging line by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of batched coffee.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderate batching issues.
• Follows all safety and quality protocols, including PPE usage and cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
