Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Coding Supervisor for HOSP to lead the Hospital Coding Operations team in Atlanta. The role focuses on timely coding and accurate reimbursement across inpatient and outpatient services.

You will provide daily updates, ensure compliance with policies and governing agencies, and help develop procedures to improve quality and efficiency. RHIA/RHIT or CCS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Hospital Coding/HIM Inpatient and/or Outpatient coding experience required.
• Management/Supervisory experience in healthcare related field preferred.
• Specialty Hospital Coding experience preferred.
• Experience in coding across multiple specialties within a hospital coding environment and remote coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Hospital Coding Operations team.
• Provide daily updates regarding coding processes, intra-departmental chart review requests and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and governing agencies.

Education

Work Experience

• Specialty Hospital Coding experience Preferred
• Experience in coding across multiple specialties within a hospital coding environment and remote coding experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• One or more of the following certifications: Upon Hire Required
