Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks a Manager for the Coding Center of Excellence (COE) & Quality, Education & Training to lead enterprise coding quality assurance, auditing, education, and professional development across hospital and professional fee coding operations.

The role establishes centralized coding standards, curricula, and best-practice frameworks, partnering with Coding, Revenue Integrity, CDI, HIM, Compliance, Finance, physician leadership, and operational leaders to ensure

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive healthcare coding experience.
• 3+ years supervisory or management experience in coding/audit/education.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and coding improvement initiatives.
• Experience with integrated delivery systems or large multi-hospital health systems preferred.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS and MS-DRG/APR-DRG methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise coding quality assurance, auditing, education, training, and professional development.
• Partner with Coding, Revenue Integrity, CDI, HIM, Compliance, Finance, and leadership to align practices with goals.
• Develop coding standards, curricula, audit programs, policies, and competency assessments.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and coding excellence.
• Oversee centralized Coding Center of Excellence to improve accuracy and reduce risk.
