Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a coding and charging coordinator to support the Coding Management team. Under minimal supervision you will coordinate coding updates, manage Epic work queues, and assist with appeals, denials, and rebills while maintaining complex Excel worksheets.

You will serve as the HIM Epic Super-user for coding, collaborating with Epic analysts to support coding workflows and encoder upgrades, ensuring timely billing and data-driven decisions across the department.

Qualifications

• 3 years advanced knowledge of billing and coding workflow, procedures, and departmental processes

Responsibilities

• Reviews dashboards and reports to identify needs to coding leadership
• Continually assesses and monitors work queues to identify fluctuating needs; escalates as needed
• Processes, records, and trends data
• Monitors, triages, enters and tracks IT tickets
• Coordinates with other departments to resolve missing documentation and ensure timely billing of visits
• Performs other duties as assigned or required
