Qualifications

• 3+ years of coding experience in a high-volume hospital or similar setting.
• Prior supervisor experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Familiarity with CMS LMPRs, LCDs, AMA guidelines and related policies.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead training and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise coding staff for daily workflow and education on coding guidelines.
• Monitor productivity, quality and compliance; generate reports.
• Provide ongoing coding education and new coder training.
• Review revenue cycle workflows, audits and denial analyses.
• Collaborate with PFS to implement coding corrections and process improvements.
• Conduct physician coding audits and communicate results to leadership.
• Maintain training materials and workflow documentation.
• Participate in HR processes related to supervised staff.
