Job summary

ECU Health is seeking a qualified auditor/coder to create and maintain education programs, ensuring accurate coding for professional Part B services. You will audit ICD10CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers, and communicate findings to leadership.

You will develop targeted training and update policies as needed. Hybrid role based out of Greenville, NC, with a focus on education for staff and providers, and collaboration with coding leadership to improve reimbursement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of multidisciplinary physician-based coding or auditing experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or higher; RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/CCS-P certification.
• Experience with coding guidelines, audits, and education development.

Responsibilities

• Performs coding audits to ensure ICD10CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers accuracy.
• Develops and coordinates education based on audit findings for staff and providers.
• Provides orientation and ongoing education for new hires and students.
• Works with leadership on revenue integrity opportunities and policy updates.
