Job summary

The Wage Agency Instructor - Code Enforcement position at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is a temporary/casual role delivering online, classroom, and field training in code enforcement. The instructor applies adult learning principles and collaborates with ITSI to support TEEX courses.

Applicants need a High School Diploma or GED, four years in code enforcement, and one year of adult education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of experience in code enforcement.
• One year of adult education and/or training.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Code Enforcement Officer License with the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation.
• Equivalency: two years of related experience with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an applicable field may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Delivers instruction for specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within ITSI Code Enforcement program.
• Applies adult learning theories to promote learner success and instructional effectiveness.
• Delivers online, classroom, and/or field-based skills training and may provide technical assistance.
• Collaborates with Code Enforcement team and ITSI customers to deliver training and support TEEX courses.
