Responsabilités

• Prepare class materials and complete required administrative paperwork.
• Maintain currency of technical skills and certifications.

The Role at a Glance

The Wage Agency Instructor, under direction, assists in trainingvarious specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within theTEEX Workforce Development Programs at the Coastal BendOccupational Advanced Skills Training (COAST) in Corpus Christi,Texas and the RGV Advanced Manufacturing Hub (RAM) in Brownsville,Texas. The instructor delivers and conducts training courses forwater and wastewater utility personnel to increase their technicalcompetence and skills. This position's duties include classroom andtopic preparation, delivery of classes including demonstrating withteaching aids, and completing required administrative paperwork.The instructor is expected to maintain their technical competenceand skills.

This position reports to the ITSI Workforce Development ProgramCoordinator.

Qualifications of the Role

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university oran equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience in operation, maintenance, design,construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• Due to the location of course facilitation, applicants mustreside in any of the following counties to be considered: Aransas,Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg,Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, and Willacy.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license or abilityto obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Texas Class "B" Water License.
• Texas Class "B" Wastewater License or Wastewater Collection II or III.

TCEQ Sponsor Requirements

• One year of experience in training adults and one of thefollowing:
• 60 hours of classroom instructional experience.
• Completion of approved Instructor training courses in Methodsof Teaching.
• Completion of approved Instructor training courses in EffectiveInstructional Techniques and Instructional Design andEvaluation.
• Completion of approved Instructor training courses inOrganizational and Use of Training Materials.

Equivalency

Will consider five years of related experience (ListedAbove) with an Associate's Degree in applicable field from anaccredited college or university OR seven years of relatedexperience (Listed Above) with a High School Diploma/GED.
