Qualifications

• Certification requirements include TCFP, SFFMA, TCOLE, DSHS, or TDEM, or an equivalent organization.
• Background in Fire/Rescue/Haz-Mat, EMS, Emergency Management, or Law Enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program planning and scheduling; report to the Training Coordinator.
• Support other training activities as assigned.

The Wage (Adjunct) Agency Instructor I provides training for the TEEX Extension Program within Texas Region 2. Responsibilities include delivering and coordinating classes, conferences, area schools, National Fire Academy hand-off and field delivery courses, and other special training programs as assigned. This position reports to the Training Coordinator.

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• ~ Fire/Rescue/Haz-Mat, EMS, Emergency Management, or Law Enforcement).
• One year of experience in adult education and/or training.
• Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP), State Firefighters’ and Fire Marshals’ Association (SFFMA), Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), or an equivalent certifying organization.
