Job summary

City of Clearwater is seeking a Code Compliance Supervisor to manage investigations and enforcement of city codes within the incorporated area. You will supervise inspectors, provide technical guidance, and deliver customer-focused service.

The role requires a valid Florida driver’s license, relevant certifications, and a degree with several years in regulatory enforcement, plus supervisory experience. The position offers an entry salary as stated and opportunities to lead municipal code

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver’s license required.
• Florida Association of Code Enforcement Certification preferred.
• Associate’s Degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, public administration, or related field, with 3 years of relevant experience.
• One year of lead worker or supervisory experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise daily activities of Code Compliance Inspectors.
• Review payroll, conduct interviews, and provide performance evaluations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to citizen complaints.
• Provide technical guidance on code investigations and enforcement.
• Perform field inspections and maintain records and reports.
• Represent the division in meetings and hearings as required.
• Serve as temporary in charge during absence.
