Job summary

The City of Clearwater is seeking a Code Compliance Supervisor to oversee investigations and enforcement of codes within the city limits. You will supervise inspectors, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely responses to citizen concerns, while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Essential duties include coordinating daily field activity, conducting interviews, training staff, delivering presentations, monitoring performance, and supporting enforcement hearings as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in law enforcement, public administration, or related field with three years of regulatory compliance experience.
• Lead worker or supervisory experience preferred.
• Florida certification in code enforcement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and supervises daily activities of Code Compliance Inspectors.
• Provides performance feedback and conducts interviews and evaluations.
• Responds to citizen complaints promptly and professionally.
• Offers technical advice on code investigations and enforcement actions.
• Prepares records, reports, and maintains documentation.
• Represents division in hearings and coordinates with courts as needed.
