City of Clearlake seeks a Code Enforcement Officer to investigate and enforce city codes, ordinances, and permits. You will coordinate with planning, building, and public works staff to handle cases, issue notices of violations, and prepare related documentation.

The role requires handling complaints, conducting site visits, and assisting with enforcement hearings while maintaining records and communicating with property owners and the public.

Formación

• Two years of progressively responsible experience working with the public and interpreting rules, laws, or procedures.
• Some code inspection and enforcement experience is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate complaints of violations of City codes, prepare notices of violation and issue citations.
• Coordinate with planning, building, and public works staff regarding code enforcement cases.
• Prepare and record notices, liens and releases; assist in contracts for abatement work.
• Provide information to public and other agencies regarding codes and ordinances; respond to inquiries.
