Job summary

The Town of Lake Hamilton is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer to enforce town codes, investigate complaints, and ensure due process. You will interact with residents and business owners, prepare notices, and maintain case files under supervision of the Community Development Director.

Essential duties include field investigations, documentation, and coordinating with the Building Official for structural inspections while upholding state statutes. A valid FL driver’s license is required.

• Ability to prepare reports and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Performs field and office work to enforce town codes and ordinances.
• Investigates complaints and documents violations with notices and follow-ups.
• Maintains accurate case files and evidence for potential legal actions.
• Presents cases to Special Magistrate and testifies in court as needed.
• Communicates effectively to residents and business owners to resolve issues.
