Job summary

Peraton Health, State and Local Sector seeks a COBOL Software Developer Advisor to join us in supporting and maintaining the Medicare Fee‑For‑Service claims processing system. You will serve as a principal technical contributor on an Agile team, providing maintenance and operations support for the Medicare DME contract.

As an Advisor, you will plan, direct, and coordinate software development across multiple functional areas of the DME system.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mainframe production or maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of health care claims processing, Medicare FFS.
• Ability to work in a highly structured development environment.
• Senior/principal software developer experience in a mainframe setting.
• Ability to determine and decompose business and technical requirements.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
• Strong communication and technical writing for client interactions.
• Ability to provide estimates for tasks and projects.
• Experience with Medicare Part A/B and CWF processing systems.
• Experience with CMS programs or contracts.

Responsibilities
