Blue Cross NC is seeking a Team Leader for Coordination of Benefits (COB) to guide departmental staff, oversee workloads, and support operational goals. You will coach performance, develop employees, and serve as a liaison between frontline staff and leadership.

The role emphasizes driving member and customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance, and fostering a collaborative, results‑oriented culture in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or advanced degree where required.
• 5+ years of related field experience; in lieu of a degree, 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workload and lead the team to achieve objectives.
• Act as a resource on processes and procedures for the team.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
• Serve as primary contact for operational updates and escalations.
• Ensure staff are trained and respond professionally to inquiries.
• Provide ongoing coaching and formal performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with other teams to set and monitor performance goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to address system/process gaps.
• Identify trends, root causes, and take corrective action.
