Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Team Leader for Coordination of Benefits (COB) to guide departmental staff, oversee workloads, and support operational goals. You will mentor staff, drive performance improvements, and liaise with leadership and cross-functional partners to promote member and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required; or 7+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or process improvement experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workload and direct the team toward achieving business objectives.
• Act as a resource for teammates on processes and procedures.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
• Serve as primary contact for operational updates and escalations.
• Ensure staff are trained and respond professionally to inquiries.
• Provide ongoing coaching and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with other teams to set performance goals and monitor progress.
• Identify gaps and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct audits and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
• May represent the department on corporate projects.
