Job summary
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina seeks a Team Leader, Coordination of Benefits (COB) to lead departmental staff, oversee workloads, and support the execution of operational goals. This role provides guidance on issue resolution, promotes member and customer satisfaction, and helps ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
You’ll coach, develop staff, analyze trends, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree; 5+ years of related experience, or 7+ years in lieu of degree.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to coach and develop staff.
- Experience supporting Coordination of Benefits (COB) functions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day COB operations to achieve business objectives.
- Coach and develop team members; conduct performance evaluations.
- Serve as a key liaison between frontline staff, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
- Identify process gaps, drive improvements, and monitor performance against goals.
- Escalate issues and manage audits to ensure service excellence.
