Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join a field team building and upgrading outdoor telecommunications networks. You will splice, sweep, troubleshoot coax lines, read CATV prints, and support node upgrades in outdoor utility sites.

You must have 1–3 years of splicing experience, safety mindset, and the ability to work with ladders or bucket trucks; valid license and DOT considerations apply. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Flexible with shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers).
• Read the CATV telecommunications design and prints.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.
