Job summary

MasTec Communications Group seeks a Coax Splicer Trainee to develop new skills and work safely while expanding technology for a better community. You will splice coaxial cables, optimize nodes, read CATV designs, and operate RF meters in outdoor utility sites.

You should be safety-minded, quality-focused, and hands-on, with experience in CATV or telecom. Willingness to work varied shifts with overtime and a valid license is required.

• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card for driving purposes (Applicants are subject to an MVR review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record)

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (Time-Domain Reflectometers).
• Read CATV telecommunication design and prints.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.
