Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join our construction team. You will splice, activate, test, troubleshoot, and upgrade coaxial plant to support outdoor utility projects and ensure quality workmanship.

This role requires a safety-minded approach, 1–3 years of splicing experience, and a valid driver’s license with potential travel to nearby sites. Competitive hourly pay with comprehensive benefits and per diem when traveling is provided.

Qualifications

• Able to climb ladders or operate a bucket truck.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Proven track record of high-quality work.
• Flexible with shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot coaxial cable.
• Upgrade plant extensions and support new building construction.
• Read CATV designs and prints.
• Work at outdoor utility construction sites.
• Travel to Knoxville and South Carolina for a few days (per diem provided).
