Job summary

TCS Communications, LLC is seeking a dedicated Coax Splicer II to join our Texas field operations. You will splice coaxial cable networks for telecom clients, perform tests and post-installation troubleshooting, and ensure work meets high standards.

Role includes climbing and working at heights, daily reporting, and equipment maintenance. We offer weekly pay, PTO, parental leave, holidays, a 401(k) with company match, stock plan, and education reimbursement to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record (not Provisional).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• At least two years of coax splicing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to electronic upgrades and splicing of coaxial cable, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at various heights, from underground to above ground.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, marking maps and recording material usage.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least two years of coax splicing experience

Additional Qualifications

• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles
