Job summary

Ashland Specialty Ingredients, GP invites you to support customers in implementing our products at our Wilmington, DE site. This Tech Services Manager role reports to the NA Innovation Lead and is key to the specialty additives R&D function.

Responsibilities include providing technical support, identifying new product opportunities, evaluating new technologies, and leading cross-functional projects with global teams to meet strategic targets.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in polymer science or chemistry.
5–10 years of experience with coating formulation and additives.
5–10 years of technical service experience in coating-related industries.
Experience leading global multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers to facilitate implementation of Ashland products and build relationships with senior technical staff at key customers.
Identify new product opportunities or applications through customer contact and market knowledge and collaborate to initiate new projects.
Evaluate new technologies in customer-specific formulations and advise on technical and market development.
Collaborate with marketing and sales to understand industry needs; lead or participate in research projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
Maintain awareness of new technologies, competitive threats, opportunities and regulatory developments in coatings and allied fields.
