Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector II to lead coatings inspection on industrial, water and infrastructure projects. You will plan hold points, verify surface prep, application and cure, and sign off at each hold point with the authority to stop nonconforming work.

You’ll train Level 1 inspectors, write inspection and nonconformance reports, and coordinate with owners and applicators under SSPC/NACE AMPP standards, with travel as required.

Formación

• AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 2 certification, current.
• 2+ years of CIP Level 2 inspection experience.
• Familiarity with SSPC/NACE surface preparation standards and common industrial coating systems.
• Experience on tank, pipeline, water/wastewater, or structural steel coating projects.

Responsabilidades

• Plan inspection hold points and testing per coating specification and data sheets.
• Verify surface preparation, application, and cure with sign-off at each hold point.
• Perform adhesion, holiday, and cure testing; document nonconformances and require repairs.
• Supervise Level 1 inspectors on larger projects and review logs; write reports and nonconformance docs.
• Represent the inspection program to owner and applicator.
