Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector II to lead inspection of protective coatings and linings on industrial, water, and infrastructure projects. You will plan hold points, verify prep and cure, perform adhesion and holiday tests, and write final reports relied on by owners and engineers.

Required AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 2, current, with 2+ years of experience; SSPC/NACE standards knowledge; background on tank, pipeline, or structural coatings helps, and you may supervise Level

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 2 certification required and current.
• 2+ years inspecting under CIP Level 2.
• SSPC/NACE surface preparation standards experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan inspection hold points and testing per coating spec.
• Verify surface prep, application, and cure with sign-off.
• Perform adhesion, holiday, and cure testing.
• Disposit defects and specify repairs.
• Supervise Level 1 inspectors on larger projects.
• Write inspection and nonconformance reports.
• Represent the program to owner and applicator.
