Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Coatings Inspector II to lead inspection of protective coatings for industrial, water, and infrastructure projects. You will plan hold points from the coating specification, verify surface preparation, application and cure, perform adhesion and holiday testing, resolve nonconformances with the applicator, and write reports relied upon by owners and engineers.

The role requires AMPP CIP Level 2 certification with 2+ years of experience; knowledge of tank

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 2 certification required and current.
• 2+ years of inspecting under CIP Level 2.
• Familiar with SSPC/NACE surface preparation standards and common industrial coating systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan inspection hold points from coating specification and data sheets.
• Verify surface prep, application, and cure with sign-off at each hold point.
• Perform adhesion and holiday tests and record results.
• Disposit defects and specify repairs; supervise Level 1 inspectors on larger projects.
• Write inspection and nonconformance reports for owner/engineer.
